Altagram Welcomes Michael Schmidt in New Position as Company’s COO

January 29, 2019

(Berlin, 21st January 2019) Altagram is proud to announce the promotion of Michael K. Schmidt to the new Chief Operating Officer. He joined the company in July 2017 as Localization Team Lead and held the same position until now.

Schmidt is now responsible for managing and expanding the Berlin team, overseeing operations of the company and executives, and designing and implementing business operations. While still a tower of strength in the translation department of Altagram, the new COO is handing over many essential processes to the highly experienced team leads that are now managing the growing number of coordinators and translators at the company’s headquarters.

With over 20 years of experience in the field of translation, Michael Schmidt is the perfect candidate to handle the future challenges of Altagram. Besides his extensive team management experience at games publishers and service providers, he offers expertise in computer science and tool programming and his language skills include German, English and Japanese.

As the new COO, Schmidt provides the company’s founder Marie Amigues as well as the studio directors of Altagram Korea and Altagram Canada with crucial support to successfully consolidate businesses and form a global network with a unified strategy of full-service game localization.

Altagram is a fast-growing video game localization and audio production agency. With a team that has localized more than 4,000 games in over 45 languages, we want to give every game the tailored localization it deserves. Whether it’s an indie hit or a major AAA title, we make sure that your games cross linguistic and cultural borders and feel authentic worldwide.
