Localization Project Manager (m/f/d)
Position Overview:
The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating the localization of diverse video game titles from our clients and partners. This includes internal deliveries to all relevant departments (audio, translation, testing, DTP) while being the sole contact with the client. The role of Project Manager requires you to liaise constantly with a range of high-profile managers and developers in order to guarantee the delivery of projects within a specified deadline and budget. At the same time, the Project Manager must also ensure that projects are completed to the highest standards of quality by the production team.

Responsibilities:
  • Managing localization projects from beginning to end
  • Providing input and feedback for the continuous improvement of processes, services, and client relationships
  • Being the main point of contact between the Altagram team and clients: be accountable, transparent, and flexible
  • Shortening localization time-to-market, reducing costs, and helping our clients to achieve their global business objectives
  • Briefing and debriefing the team for each project
  • Ensuring the most effective use of our software tools for assigned projects
  • Creating and controlling localization project budgets, performing cost tracking analysis, ensuring purchase orders and invoices are issued in a timely manner
  • Traveling to fairs or events to meet potential or existing clients
  • Leading meetings and conference calls, including: project kick-offs, weekly and ad hoc meetings, issue resolution meetings, and performing post mortems on projects
  • Identifying and solving problems quickly and effectively
Requirements:

We are currently seeking a Senior Localization Test Lead for our Montreal office to provide video game localization QA for our prestigious clients and partners. The Lead will be managing projects and a team of localization video game testers, while being a main point of contact with the clients. This position is an ideal opportunity for an experienced LQA tester or Lead (within the gaming industry) to utilize his/her Localization and gaming industry knowledge in order to help develop the localization services of Altagram in Montreal. Job Description:
Due to the recent creation of our Montreal office, we are looking for an individual with experience and a strong interest in business development. The successful candidate should be interested in working in a fast-paced, start-up environment with a great international team of game localization experts. The offered position is full-time and in-house at the Altagram office in Montreal.

Responsibilities:
  • Generating new business sales
  • Building and maintaining relationships with clients and prospects
  • Organizing and attending international games business events and traveling to potential new clients to present Altagram
  • Identifying our prospects localization challenges and developing effective localization solutions
  • Developing business terms with clients in close cooperation with international team
  • Identifying potential new clients, competitor research, reporting on local market and industry trends
  • Support our Business Development teams in Germany and South Korea
Requirements:
  • Localization sales experience
  • Experience with LQA projects
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills
  • Confident client relations and excellent communication skills
  • Travelling to fairs, industry events and clients will be required
  • A passion for video games and knowledge of the video game industry

Localization Tester (m/f/d) – Video Games
Job Description:
We are currently looking for Localization Testers in Montreal. You will be responsible for proofreading and testing in-game and video game-related content. A background in game testing is advantageous. We are looking for candidates who love video games and who are familiar with PC and mobile devices as well as related terminology.

Responsibilities:
  • Verifying linguistic, cultural and contextual accuracy of localized in-game text, audio and subtitles
  • Verifying cosmetic integrity and implementation of in-game text
  • Ensuring that game guidelines and glossaries are correctly referenced throughout the game
  • Ensuring that compliance with terminology and publisher guidelines are respected at all time
  • Identifying and documenting defects in a clear and concise manner using the designated bug tracking database
  • Suggesting solutions to the defects reported and verifying fixes
  • Working in cooperation with a multilingual team in a fast-paced environment
  • Following test instructions accurately and executing tasks in a timely manner
  • Reporting to the Test Lead and assistance with other tasks when needed
Qualifications:
  • Outstanding skills in your native language
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Strong passion for video games
  • Knowledge and experience using PC and mobile devices
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Flexible, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive
  • Strong attention to detail and rigorous respect of deadlines
  • Ability to learn new tools quickly and effectively
  • Capability to work under pressure as well as independently with minimal supervision
  • Previous experience in QA or game localization is a real plus
  • French communication skills are advantageous
